Tropical forests are noted for their beautiful woods, especially the popular Mahoganies. As the sun travels back and forth seasonally across the equatorial axis, they grow in both conditions of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres giving them a mixed direction grain. Full of character, they also have great stability, the layered structure making them nature’s own plywood.
EC Forest Products hold a wide range of tropical hardwoods in stock and are able to source an extensive list of species. Expert staff can assist in selecting wood, and timber is available in any shape or size, including large board sizes. EC Forest Products only source tropical timbers, either from designated plantation areas or from natural rainforests undergoing ‘best management practice’.
